European Parliament simulation in Joniškis!
Learning about the European Union and how it works can be fun and educational. On November 7th, 20 young minds immersed into the simulation to get hands-on experience of what it’s like to engage in democratic and decision-making processes.
During the event, we used a game to help participants learn by doing. The goals were simple: to give practical experience, understand how the European Parliament works, see how decisions are made, understand the EU better, and experience the creation of laws. Participants also found out how powerful the European Parliament is in the EU, and they got to feel what it’s like to be responsible of developing laws.
Overall, this event was a great experience for young people to learn actively, engage into political world and understand the weight of a decision. Events like these are essential to help young people become active and conscious citizens.
The activity was implemented as part of the “Y2EU” project which is financed by the European Union under the CERV call.
