YouthQuake: Shaking Disinformation, Shaping Democracy

YouthQuake: Shaking Disinformation, Shaping Democracy

Project Description

The YouthQuake project aims to strengthen youth workers’ competences in media literacy, empower young people to resist and counter disinformation, and foster their active participation in democratic life. It also builds the capacity of a newcomer organisation and ensures that project results are widely shared and sustained.

Activities include a kick-off meeting in Slovakia, creation and piloting of a Media Literacy Training Pack, national focus groups using co-design methods, an international incubator in Lithuania for youth-led campaigns, and multiplier events in all countries to disseminate and sustain results.

The project will deliver a Media Literacy Training Pack, a Best Practice Guide, and youth-led campaign toolkits. It will train 12 youth workers, engage at least 90 young people, and reach over 3,000 others online. Partners will build stronger capacity, while young people will gain skills, confidence, and opportunities to act as multipliers for democracy in their communities.
