The Erasmus+ KA2 project “STRENGTHENING SOCIAL COHESION AND CAPACITY OF LOCAL, REFUGEE AND MIGRANT YOUNG PEOPLE BY CREATING STEM/STEAM AREAS” aims to increase the social cohesion and strengthen the resilience of young participants, consisting of immigrants, refugees and local groups, by revealing their skills in STEM / STEAM and sports and including them in social areas.
Within the scope of the project, 6 different workshops (Science, Robotic Technology, Art, Drama-theater, Transform-Design-Play and Sports) covering all areas of STEM/STEAM will be established in order to increase the social cohesion of the participants. The workshops will continue their activity by accepting new students for 22 months in 2-month periods in Coordinator country.
Outputs:
1) Mapping activities: In order to make migrants and refugees feel that they belong to the region where they live, a list of organizations that carry out activities that migrants and refugees can benefit from will be prepared by the partners.
2) The article “A INTEGRATED APPROACH ON SOCIAL COHESION OF LOCAL, REFUGEE AND MIGRANT COMMUNITIES”: This article will provide a source for the scientific literature by publishing the social cohesion research conducted on 630 participants in 6 different countries.
3) Evaluation of Workshop Activities: 1.5year evaluation report will be prepared. This report will include the evaluation of the workshop activities carried out for 1.5 year using the social cohesion scale created by Turkey in the first month of the project with the contribution of other partners.
4) Social Cohesion Guide: A guide will be prepared that explains how successful 6 different workshop activities carried out for 2 years in increasing social cohesion.
