“Youth Green Compass” educational game – ready to inspire sustainable action

The “Youth Green Compass” Educational Game is now available! Developed within the Youth Green Compass project, this interactive learning resource helps young people explore environmental sustainability in an engaging, collaborative, and practical way.

Designed for youth workers, teachers, educators, and informal groups, the game encourages participants to reflect on everyday environmental challenges, discuss possible solutions, and discover how small individual actions can contribute to a more sustainable future. Through teamwork, critical thinking, and friendly competition, players strengthen their knowledge of climate change, sustainable lifestyles, and responsible decision-making.

Before its final release, the board game was tested with more than 50 participants from all five project countries—Lithuania, Spain, France, Italy, and Austria. The testing sessions provided valuable feedback from young people and educators, helping the partnership refine the game mechanics, improve the learning experience, and ensure that the content is both engaging and educational for diverse audiences.

The main goal of the Educational Board Game is to:

• raise awareness of environmental sustainability and climate-related challenges;
• encourage young people to adopt greener everyday habits;
• develop teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills through game-based learning; and
• inspire participants to become active contributors to more sustainable communities.

Whether used in schools, youth centres, workshops, or international youth activities, the game offers a fun and meaningful way to learn about sustainability while promoting discussion, cooperation, and active participation.
